Zac was born and raised in Fredericksburg, VA. He grew up playing travel soccer in Fredericksburg and later in Richmond.
He attended the University of Virginia from 2002-2006, where he founded Dynasty Football Club with several of his friends. While at UVA, he earned the nickname "Rooney" not based on playing style or ability but for his short fuse and tendency to go cleats up into any challenge.
He currently lives in Springfield and works for the U.S. Government. His favorite pro team is Arsenal... go Gunners!
His most memorable soccer moment was in 1999 when his club team traveled to England for a travel-and-play tour. The highlight: watching Man U vs. Liverpool at Anfield!
