The History of Dynasty FC... Past, Present and Future

Dynasty Football Club has its roots at the University of Virginia. Back in 2003, a bunch of guys (we won't necessarily call them "students") from all different walks of life began getting together and, in order to avoid studying, girlfriends, and other less important obligations, started playing pick-up soccer on a weekly basis. This weekly game evolved into one of the most dominant forces that the University has ever seen... a combination of pace, power, and dedication, the likes of which has never been equalled. Like a flash of blinding light from heaven, Dynasty Football Club was formed, and the intramural soccer fields at UVA have never been the same since.

Today, DFC now finds itself still loosely connected to UVA, and its members are scattered about the northern Virginia and D.C. area. Since 2008, the club has enjoyed a strong partnership with Bailey's Pub & Grille of Arlington. In Fall 2009, Powerade also began a corporate partnership with the club. The dedicated support of these partners has been integral to team's success.

For the past four seasons, Dynasty has enjoyed great success in the Northern Virginia Soccer League, winning Third, Second, and First Division titles consecutively. Most recently in fall 2010, DFC completed another solid season and finished runner-up in the Premier League. The team is now looking forward to another campaign in the spring, as well as participating in several tournaments across Virginia.

In addition to its onfield exploits, DFC is active in the greater northern Virginia community. Many of our players coach local high school and youth teams. In February 2010, the club hosted a "Love for Haiti" fundraiser that benefited the American Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti. In November 2010, DFC sponsored another successful event that benefited the U.S. Marine Corps Toys for Tots program. Stay tuned for our next event in 2011!
